Safety Notice & Guides
The JetWave eFoil Power Module includes sharp-edged components like the mast, main wing, and stabilizer wing. Take care not to kick or touch these sharp edges when in the water or climbing onto the board. Practice proper falling techniques to stay clear of these parts.
Ensure all body parts are clear of the propeller when testing on land or in water. Ensure the water depth is at least 1.5 meters before riding.
Wear a helmet and life jacket
Always wear an approved, certified helmet and a life jacket which makes sure you can float on the water. Be aware of any local rules or legal requirements that may apply.
Before engaging the throttle, ensure your body is positioned in a balanced and comfortable stance on the board - don’t rush.
Keep your distanceAt JetWave, safety is our top priority. We've made significant investments in research and development to offer what we believe are the safest portable marine-grade batteries available.
Beyond mandatory independent lab tests for safety and shipping certification, we've conducted numerous additional tests, including 2-meter drop tests, extreme power and temperature testing, nail puncture tests, and submerging running batteries in saltwater.
As a premium brand, we use only the highest quality materials and construction methods, resulting in market-leading safety features in our batteries, including:
-
Phase Change Material (PCM)
PCM enhances thermal management, safety, and longevity by absorbing heat from cells, especially isolating and cooling faulty ones before any issue can spread. -
Lowest Impedance Cells
We use top-tier high capacity cells known for their low impedance and high current rating, keeping them cooler and operating well within safe limits for both charging and discharging. -
Titanium Reinforced Durability
Titanium, with its superior strength-to-density ratio and corrosion resistance, is used to reinforce our premium cells, offering exceptional strength and durability. -
Double Waterproofing
Each battery is fully waterproof and pressure-tested before shipping, with an IP67-rated waterproof compartment in the board for added protection. -
Advanced Battery Management System (BMS)
Our advanced BMS ensures safe, rapid charging and consistent temperature control with three levels of protection for electronics. Wireless data transmission eliminates the need for extra connectors. -
Sight Glass
Flitecell is the only marine battery with a sight glass, enabling you to easily check for water ingress for added peace of mind. -
Two Power Cables
JetWave batteries connects to JetWave Control Unit with just two color-coded, widely spaced power cables, reducing the risk of confusion and minimizing the chance of short circuits. -
Real-Time Feedback
While riding, the remote control allows you to monitor the battery temperature. If overheating occurs, the remote control alerts you, and if necessary, the safety system will shut down the battery to prevent damage.
Geo-fencing function
Open the JetWave App: Launch the app and ensure your device is connected to the JetWave eFoil.
Access Geo-Fencing Settings: Navigate to the settings menu and select "Geo-Fencing" to set up the range limit for your ride.
Define the Area: Use the map interface to draw a custom boundary or set a circular range around your starting point. Adjust the size as needed.
Set the Range Limit: Specify the maximum distance (in meters or kilometers) you want the rider to be able to travel from the set boundary.
Activate the Geo-Fence: Once you've configured the area, enable the geo-fence feature. The rider will now be restricted to the designated range.
Receive Notifications: If the rider approaches or exceeds the set boundary, you will receive real-time alerts to help ensure safety and control over the ride.
Speed limit setting
Turn on the JetWave Remote: Power up the remote and connect it to your board.
Select Beginner Mode: On the remote, toggle to "Beginner" mode to limit the maximum speed for a safer ride.
Adjust Speed Settings: Use the speed dial or buttons to set the maximum speed based on the rider's skill level and weight. For beginners, start at a lower speed for better control.
Confirm Settings: Ensure the speed is set to a comfortable and safe level before starting the ride.
Monitor the Ride: As the rider progresses, you can easily adjust the speed settings to match their growing skills and confidence.
